How to Add a New Patient

The Patients section of the Meto provider portal allows you to add patients manually or via bulk upload (CSV). Follow these steps:

Option 1: Adding Patients Manually

  1. Navigate to the Patients Section

    • From the left-hand menu of your provider portal, click Patients.

    • You’ll see a list of existing patients.

  2. Click "Add Patient"

    • On the right side of the screen, click the Add Patient button.

  3. Select the Manual Option

    • Ensure the Manual tab is selected at the top of the "Add Patient" panel.

  4. Enter Patient Information

    • Fill in the following fields:

      • Patient Email: Enter the patient’s email address to check if they already have an account with Meto.

      • First Name and Last Name.

      • Gender: Select from the dropdown.

      • Ethnicity (optional).

      • Date of Birth: Use the calendar picker or enter manually.

      • Phone Number: Enter the phone number without the need for a country code.

      • Address: Add details such as street, city, and state (optional).

      • Emergency Contact:

        • Name: Enter the name of the patient’s emergency contact.

        • Email: Provide the emergency contact’s email address.

  5. Click "Add Patient"

    • Once all required fields are completed, click the Add Patient button at the bottom of the form.

Option 2: Adding Patients via CSV Upload

  1. Select the Upload CSV Tab

    • At the top of the "Add Patient" panel, switch to the Upload CSV tab.

  2. Prepare Your File

    • Use the platform’s CSV template (if available) to format patient data correctly.

    • Ensure all required fields are included (email, name, emergency contact info, etc.).

  3. Upload Your File

    • Click Upload CSV, select your file, and confirm the upload.

  4. Verify Uploaded Data

    • Review the uploaded information to ensure accuracy.

Key Tips:

  • Mandatory Fields: Ensure email, name, phone number, and emergency contact details are always completed for each patient.

  • Duplicates: The system will flag duplicate emails if a patient already exists in the database.

  • Bulk Upload: Use CSV for onboarding multiple patients efficiently.

Troubleshooting:

  • Issue: Unable to add a patient manually.
    Solution: Verify that all required fields are completed and formatted correctly.

  • Issue: CSV upload errors.
    Solution: Check the CSV file for formatting issues or missing fields.
