As a provider, you can manage changes to appointments by either canceling or rescheduling them. This guide explains how to manually perform these actions and ensure patients are notified appropriately.

Canceling Appointments

  1. Navigate to the Appointment:

    • Open the Appointments section from the left-hand menu.

    • Locate the appointment in either the calendar view or list view under the appropriate tab (e.g., Upcoming).

  2. Open Appointment Details:

    • Click on the appointment to view its details.

    • In the list view, use the More Actions menu for options.

  3. Cancel the Appointment:

    • Select Cancel Appointment from the available options.

    • Provide a reason for the cancellation (optional but recommended for clarity).

    • Add an optional message to the patient, explaining the cancellation.

    • Click Confirm to finalize the cancellation.

  4. Notification to Patient:

    • Once canceled, the patient will receive an automatic notification informing them of the change.

Rescheduling Appointments

  1. Navigate to the Appointment:

    • Access the Appointments section and locate the appointment in the list view or calendar view.

  2. Open Appointment Details:

    • Click on the appointment to open the details pane.

    • Use the More Actions menu to select Reschedule Appointment.

  3. Reschedule the Appointment:

    • Update the date and time for the appointment.

    • Modify other details (e.g., consultation type or location) if necessary.

    • Provide a reason for the change (optional but helpful for patient understanding).

  4. Save Changes:

    • Confirm the updates by clicking Save or Reschedule.

  5. Patient Notification:

    • Patients will automatically receive a notification with the new appointment details.
