Marking an appointment as a no-show helps you keep accurate records and manage billing or follow-up actions for patients who miss their appointments.

Steps to Mark an Appointment as No-Show

  1. Access the Appointment Details

    • Navigate to the Appointments section.

    • Locate the appointment under the Upcoming or Incomplete tab, depending on its current status.

    • Click on the appointment to open the details pane.

  2. Mark as No-Show

    • In the details pane, click the "No-Show" button.

    • Confirm the action in the prompt to officially mark the appointment as a no-show.

  3. Using List View for Incomplete Appointments

    • From the Incomplete tab, click the "More Actions" button in the details pane of the appointment.

    • Select "Mark as No-Show" from the dropdown menu.

    • Confirm the action in the prompt.

Impact on Appointment Status

  • The appointment will be moved from Upcoming or Incomplete to the Completed tab.

  • A no-show fee will be automatically charged to the patient, based on the percentage you’ve set in the Billing Settings (e.g., 50% of the appointment fee).
